The official reveal of the All Legacy Teams and names that appear on the Honor Boards
Representing the early '60s
Representing the mid-late '60s as a player; and the early '70s as a coach
Part two
Representing Florida branch of the "Family" and the continuation of the Legacy with the next generation.
Part two
Sadly, our "Family" lost a very popular and integral member a mere three months prior to the Field Dedication and Legacy Celebration when Tem Bozeman passed.
Tem was voted All Legacy in football & baseball, finishing his 'Cat career as the number two all-time leading rusher on the grid iron, and one of the most successful pitchers on the diamond.
His mom Evelyn is on the All Legacy softball team and
"Family" members that have been honored in various softball Halls of Fame: Huntington Township, Metro Long Island ASA, and New York State USSSA. The later also features the Mice as a "Women's Team of Distinction".
The In Memoriam section from the Legacy Program...New York "Family " members no longer with us -- greatly missed and fondly remembered...
***Unfortunately, a typesetting error had other names overlayed Frank Toscano.
My sincerest apologies -- it is corrected in the online version of the program, plus he is still listed on this site's In Memoriam page
The original Norton Athletic Club banner once again brought out of the storage closet and put on display, just as it was at last year's reunion. The banner is at the very least 60 years old!
Ed V's original desk plate from the late '40s at the Huntington YMCA; and Mickey's cane -- just ask Jack Smolokoff or Gary Lamberta for details regarding the cane...

"Family" links to the professional jerseys
Charlie and Larry played together for the Huntington Y in the early '50s while Joe was faithful fan. They were the leading scorers along with Frank Loeffler.
Harry coached Pete at Commack High School and played on the same team in the HAC in house league - Pete threw a no hitter in championship game with 15 Ks, Eddie had other three putouts at 1B.
Leo and John were teammates for at least one season on all three levels -- 'Cats, Holy Family, and Notre Dame.
Tom and Tommy played both football and baseball on the Tomcats and Bobcats with Kurt, while Gary did too and played basketball as well. The three went on to win the Rutgers Cup for Whitman by defeating Kurt's Huntington team in an epic title game that featured 19 former Bobcats on the field at one time between the two teams.
Charlie was going to the YMCA when Carl was working there as counselor and director, and Jerry dates back to his pre-Huntington days in Mineola -- he has a great story of the day he first met Mickey and the Brush brothers before he even knew who they were and it involves Carl Braun. He eventually moved to Huntington and became part of the "Family" playing with the Brushes at Huntington High School.
Harry and Richie both played for Tommy's dad, Frank, at Whitman, so knew him as a little kid and watched his career as he grew older. Eddie was his first coach in the HAC in house league held at Washington Elementary.
Picture of Phil Weber's teammates with his Knicks' coaching shirt unfortunately did not come out well enough -- we'll try again at the YMCA in August!
